At Healthwatch West Sussex, we have heard from many people telling us about how the pandemic and lockdown have affected their mental health. We are currently running a survey for Horsham District residents, to find out how loneliness and isolation impact health and wellbeing.
Every July 24, The Samaritans run a campaign to remind those who are struggling that they are here to listen 24/7 and that you are not alone in your troubles. They have recorded an increase in calls and contact during the pandemic.
You can read their research here.
If you don’t want to call The Samaritans but are looking for advice and support, they have some really useful advice and information on their website about how to look after your mental health:
The Samaritans also have a Self-Help app which you can download to track your moods and follow self-care advice and programmes to look after your mental health every day.
