Spotlight on: apetito

apetito supports people in their own homes by promoting health and wellbeing through the supply of healthy, nutritious meals. Here's our Spotlight on apetito.

I am 89 and have no children, seeing the drivers and receiving my meals is the highlight of my day, I honestly don’t know what I would do without them.

West Sussex County Council meals on wheels customer

apetito is described as being the leading producers of delicious and nutritious meals, that have been developed by apetito head chefs and nutritionists, to ensure the right nutrition is in every meal. They offer a wide variety of menus to cater for diets influenced by illness, culture, religion, ethical choice, or personal preference.

One key part of the driver’s role is to carry out a safe and wellbeing check on delivery,
which gives families peace of mind that someone is able to visually check on vulnerable or frail people. For a contactless delivery the driver will stand back but will still make sure they see the customer to carry out the wellbeing check.
