How will changes to the Minimum Income Guarantee affect you?

From April 2019, you may have to pay more contribution towards your Social Care.

West Sussex County Council are proposing that the Minimum Income Guarantee for working age adults in West Sussex is brought in line with nationally set minimum amounts (already applied to older people.)

This proposal would help save the County Council £300,000 per year on an ongoing basis.

We have produced a report on the financial fairness of adult social care, highlighting the experiences of local people with recommendations for improvement.  We are currently seeking support from the Cabinet Member for Health and social care to help us to discuss these recommendations with West Sussex County Council and Capita.
