Midhurst Foodbank Centre opened in September 2014 and provides crisis support. We went along to listen to the stories and views that were shared by the local people about their health and social care services.

Healthwatch West Sussex has had the opportunity to see how the Selsey Care Shop and its supporting groups provide a fantastic example of a community sharing local resources, volunteers and expertise to support its residents.

Katie Weston advocate for Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service (IHCAS) has recently been working with three local people to support them to resolve complaints they have with their local GP Practices.

From discussions with local people it was clear many were unfamiliar with pharmacies having ‘consulting rooms’. We were keen to raise awareness of this facility and to support staff and the people who use community pharmacy services.

We are pleased to see that West Sussex County Council are consulting on its draft vision and strategy for Adult Social Care from next year, and for two further years. Here is our formal feedback.

July - September 2018

This briefing shares the themes and information and advice around High Street and Community Specialist Dental Services, as part of the engagement for recommissioning these services.

Through our recent engagement we are hearing peoples' struggles to get information, advice and support to help them with their incontinence.  This led us to look at the issue more closely and report on our findings.

This briefing sets out what we are intending to do to follow-up on the previous report, looking at Adult Safeguarding in West Sussex, published in October 2016.
