Healthwatch West Sussex launch new campaign #ConfusingComms

Find out more about our latest campaign, aiming to help the NHS to improve their written communications to patients.
'Help us improve NHS appointment letters to be: clear, easy to understand and reassuring. Share your #ConfusingComms'

Today, Friday 7th May, we have launched our newest campaign, #ConfusingComms. We are aiming to help improve the way that NHS appointment communications (letters, emails and texts) are written so that they are clear, easy to understand and reassuring.

Hopefully, by improving the way these communications are written, patients will feel more confident to attend their appointments and get the help they need.

We are asking local patients in West Sussex to send us examples of their NHS letters, emails or texts that they have found confusing or unclear by using a quick and easy online form. Using these #ConfusingComms, we will highlight to the NHS where improvements could be made.

Get involved

Every example of #ConfusingComms we can gather will help to improve the way NHS communications are written in the future. If you can share any letters, emails, or texts that you have found confusing or unclear, please use the link below:

Want your NHS communications to be easy to understand? Tell us about your #ConfusingComms

We are asking local people to send examples of their poorly written NHS communications (letters, emails, texts). With your support, we will help the NHS learn how to improve their communications so that patients feel more confident to attend their appointments.
